Yes, there seem to be two releases listed for release in the UK, one of which bears the uncut print. It's very strange because both are rated 18, so why they need to release two version is beyond me.

over at our rival Home Theatre Forum, there is some speculation that the Japanese version is also complete and 'uncensored'.

Well the True UNCUT version isnt coming out anywhere, as it was editied heavily before it was released in any country, so one day a fully uncut version may appear. Or maybe not

with much disrespect, Lion's Gate is never kind to it's own US (theatrical and video) releases, this will never happen.

How long is the uncut version? How would I know if it's cut? The only version I saw was at the Toronto Film Fest...was it cut?

The uncut version is 8 seconds longer than the R version.

the uncut version is 103 min, as the Japanese disc will be.
the R-rated is 100 minutes, which is the US R1 disc.

does this mean the Uncut UK version is the same as the upcoming Japanese version?
Because looking at the stats, uncut uk is 100, so adjusting for PAL speed-up, that should be right, yes?

yes, but the US disc is confirmed running time of 103 as well. i think there is only 8 seconds difference between the unrated and rated versions, so you decide if 8 seconds is worth more $. more news on US can be found in "Reviews and Recommendations"

well that's an interesting question - the TIFF Film programme states that the Festival print was the uncut version, yet the running time is denoted at 100 min... so, you're guess is as good as mine.
