Question about Artificial Eye discs...
I recently tried to watch two DVD's (Alice et Martin and The Piano Teacher) released by Artificial Eye in the UK. I was viewing the discs on a small 13 inch television. Instead of displaying the films in the normal 1.85:1 aspect ratio, with the black bars on the top and the bottom, both DVD's were displayed in full screen. This has never happened before. I have other discs from Artificial Eye and they all display correctly. These are not full screen DVD's so I don't understand why they are not appearing in the correct aspect ratio.

Just throwing a couple ideas...
Are you using a PAL to NTSC converting player?
Some PAL to NTSC players do not properly convert Anamorphic/16x9 enhanced titles. Are the titles which play correctly 16x9 enhanced?
I've not actually seen this problem though, so I'm not sure it would effect your situation.
Also, you might want to check and see if you DVD player is set-up for 4:3 Letterbox or 4:3 Pan and Scan. You would want it to be in 4:3 Letterbox to properly display widescreen 16x9 enhanced content on a 4X3 television.
