Looks good, but .... since this appears to be a French release (the specs are in French) will the bonus material also have English subs? What about the commentaries?

...well... it says here that the set will have English, and German, and Spanish, and Italian subs...
...so - who knows... you may get lucky - or not, as the case may be... (of course, the set is not due until March 18, 2005, so it may just be a tad early days to start agonizing over whether or not the extras will or will not sport subs in all four languages... yes...?... no...?...)

... ...

In this case the films alone are enough of a reason to buy this "coffret". Martin Karmitz and Co. treat their products with utmost respect. So, as Hendrik suggests I wont be so concerned over the extras at this point....lets wait and see.

ps
Hendrik....I was worried you went back to the Swiss Alps ...and forgot your password ...but you are still lurking.... Nice to "see" you again mon ami.

I've got the R2 release of "Au hasard Balthazar" on the way, and would've purchased "Mouchette" as well, but thought I'd hold off in case of a pending Criterion announcement. However, if "Balthazar" looks/sounds as fantastic as some of the early reports, I may not be able to wait for Mouchette: CC!

Anybody thinking these three might also be Criterion candidates? It's Bresson, and therefore so very hard for me not to buy them as soon as acceptable versions become available, but just wondering...

I'm betting the MK2's will have most, if not all of the Extra's subbed on the Bresson DVD's. The main Truffuat Box Set had subs on everything if I remember correctly... Regardless, MK2 is TOP NOTCH quality. I'm going to seriously consider getting one of these. Now we just need a good OPHULS box set!!!
