yeah - I stay away from ebay when dealing with DVDs. As far as I'm concerned, every DVD being sold on ebay is a bootleg. I'm open to other suggestions though.

With cd-wow vouchers, the price difference is minute. I'd rather spend a few extra to get the real thing.

Anything special about that Wrong Turn R3 Korean release? Or heck, what about the Hulk, Equilibrium, and The Cell?

Hulk has a really cool box that's a big hinged plastic case with a hulk fist punching out of it - there's also a comic book and some other crap... I think the disc is the same though. Equilibrium has a neat digipac case (but both the ones I ordered came smashed) and I think the disc is better than other versions out there... could be wrong though. The Cell I have no idea, but I know the R1 was a snapper.

...um... the DTS tracks... like he said...
Actually, the Hulk LE comes with a third DVD, but I don't know if he ordered that. The DTS track is really nice. The Equilibrium DTS track is just awesome, by the way. So is the packaging. It's bad enough when Miramax screws around with Asian movies, but it's a shame when American movies aren't appreciated by their own makers. Don't really care about Wrong Turn, so can't comment on that one.

So, sort of back on thread but I'm thinking of buying the Japanese Brotherhood LE, with the 5 DVDs, picture book and everything else, but does anybody know what's on those extras disks? Assuming the movie is split over 2 DVDs with one DVD for special features, that leaves 2 DVDs full of surprises. Anybody know what's on them?

Well like Pat said they all have DTS tracks for one.
Also, the Wrong Turn disc is uncut unlike the the HK dts disc.
I didn't get the LE Hulk just the 2 discer, same as the US release for the most part with DTS.
Would have liked to have that 3 disc LE of the hulk that Trigger mentioned but the crazy packaging bug has never bit me like some on this board.
Equilibrium is such a underrated flik I had to have the best version out there to view with friends.
The Cell is the director's cut 2 disc set with DTS, once again should be the best version available.

I love this thread and check it pretty frequently to see what other titles I can pick up.

Just wondering if its possible for everyone to also include WHERE the dvds were purchased and HOW MUCH. Wouldn't it be so much easier for a fellow dvdtalker to know where the great titles can be bought and directly compare the prices?

Haha, I did say where I bought them (theDVDetective!), but I'm too embarrassed by how much I spent on these things to actually admit it ;-)
