Thanks, as always, Pro-B! I've never ordered from a Danish site, but if I'm doing the currency conversion correctly to $35.00US, it's a bit pricey for me.
I so loved Bier's "Open Hearts" and wanted to see this. . .

Liz,
This is a price that includes a 25% Danish VAT. After the VAT is removed (and you will be charged for shipping) the price should come down to around 28$.
Note: If you find a few DVDs that you need and total a order of 500DK the shipping to the States will be free.
Regards,
Pro-B

When I recieved "M" (R2 Eureka) yesterday it was a 2 disc set (but a single case). The first disc sits on top of a "tray" or something, the second inside the case holder underneath it.
Whats annoying is when I put Disc 1 back in its tray, just putting it securely in is enough for the 2nd disc to come "slightly" (but not completely) loose.. huh? In other words putting/pressing the first disc securely on its' platter makes an impression on the "push here" bit where the second disc is when it shouldnt really...
Hope it doesnt get damaged or anything (looks fine ATM though).

Hey M Polo, does that Ong Bak have English subs? And if so, where'd you get it? I have the official Thai release and have watched it at least a dozen times without subs, and would love to finally see this uncut with subs.

After slacking into 3 or so years of primarily "big explosion, go boom" mind-numbing Hollywood muck, I've rediscovered non-R1 titles. Many thanks for DVDtalk's vast international knowledge!
Within the the two weeks, I've ordered:
Alien 3: Ultimate Edition (R2, FOX DTS)
Alive (R1, Tokyo Shock)
Battle Royale (Tartan NTSC 5.1-- and watched it 4x already!)
Battle Royale: Director's Cut (R0, Starmax)
Battle Royale (R0, Unit World DTS-- dammit, eBay bootleg, *grrr*)
Battle Royale II (R3, Universe)
Biohazard (Resident Evil) 2: Apocalypse (R2, Col/TriStar DTS)
Blade: DTS Edition (R2)
Cannibal Holocaust (R0, EC)
Dark Water (R3, Wide Sight)
Dawn of the Dead: Premium Edition (R2, DTS)
The Eye (R1, PALM)
Ju-On: The Grudge (R1, Lion's Gate)
Ju-On: The Grudge 2 (R3, Wide Sight)
Kill Bill: Vol. 1 Premium Box (R2)
Kill Bill: Vol. 2 Premium Box (R2)
The Returner (R1, Col/TriStar)
Suicide Club (R1, TLA Releasing)
Versus (R1 SE, Tokyo Shock)
I've also replaced my Norcent 501 (Liteon LVD2001 clone) with a Momitsu 880 DX, which has behaved *so* much better than my Norcent (and the Liteon before it).

Nope, Redsun release.. Why would the seller give a UPC code if it was a bootleg?
Watched it last night on the 51" Sony Wega HD and it was great 16:9 Anamorphic transfer and the 5.1 was solid also. All of the extras were pretty good. Overall a good DVD release from Redsun.

Actually most if not all RedSun releases are bootlegs. As far as I know besides the HK VCD, Ong Bak doesn't have a release with english subs.
Having a UPC code doesn't automatically classify itself as a legit release. You'd be surprised on the high quality bootleg DVDs people are making these days, they are basically high quality scans of the covers and burns of the original releases.
If bootlegs don't bother you, then by all means buy away. We can't tell you what to do, but we could inform you what is legit and what is not.

Well if it is, it is at this point lol. I wasn't out looking for a bootleg but either way I hadn't heard an announcement for a U.S. release DVD so I spent the $8 and got it. The picture quality was great and the 5.1 was good so $8 spent on a cool flick until we get an official release I guess.
