Joss actually hand wrote the 1st sets notes, but a UK mag called SFX got that set and are giving it away for a competition

Well, after reconsidering I placed my order again at Amazon.uk. Just can't pass up the opportunity to see those seasons in widescreen. I'll post the letter contentes/favorite episodes list when I get it.

I'll be picking up S7 R1 next week as well. Gotta keep my R1 sets for the extras, and I couldn't look at my shelf knowing there is one season missing from it.

I highly recommend anyone still wondering whether they should order this or not should decide, because Amazon, SendIt and HMV have all sold out. I can't imagine other stores stock will last long either.

I always get my packages from amazon.uk within a week with regular shipping. The Buffy Box and two other DVD's are coming to me for just 5 british pounds (how do you get the British Pound symbol?). That's a steal IMO, especially with no VAT .

I also discovered that I get packages from amazon Japan within a week as well. When I ordered the Jap Kill Bill Limited box sets, I always paid the extra $20 for the "rush" shipping since the site lists 3-4 weeks with regular and couldn't wait that long. I used regular shipping for the DTS Dawn of The Dead and it was at my house in 4 days. No more rush shipping for me. This is why I only use Amazon for my R2 purchases.

Looks awesome! I'm praying for a pre-Thanksgiving delivery!

OK, I just saw this thread over in the main forum regarding something cut out from the R1 set. I haven't seen S7 yet, so I stopped reading since it obviously contained spoilers, but can someone who has the regular R2 set let me know if it is uncut? I already have the R1 set, so I guess I could compare myself, but I'm curious now.

AFAIK the R1 set was cut due to the fact they don't come with the previouslies. The person who cuts them must not have realised that was part of the episode, and made a mistake. I've heard nothing from people who own the R2 ones, and the previouslies are always intact on the UK ones, so you don't need to worry.

Ah, I see now, thanks. Looks like I'll wait for the UK set before I dive into S7 now. Do all the R2 episodes have "previouslies" on them? I would love to see them since I never watched the show on TV and the R1's didn't have them (plus more justification for the double dip ).

Holy Crapo they crammed them dvds into such a small place!!

Very nice little set for an unbelevable bargain price! i cannot see how anyone would not want that bargain if they dont have the older sets

I still may order one for a friend cheap, and that will get me a chance to look for myself

Let me just say:

I like the book packaging as well, but this will be a better way to keep them, than having to pull them out of the current cases. Speaking of which, I wish they'd kept the original packaging colours as well, because I really like all of the season's colours they used before.

It's also highly obvious that they used pictures from the same shoot for the S2 and S3 covers, and add that to the fact they did the same for the S6 and S7, and it's very annoying. They've got S2 pics on the discs themselves, but used a S3 pic on the front. Plain lazy really, at least they had to use the S6 pics for S7 because they didn't do any for S7.

Hell, I do own S1-6 and I'm buying it. I am going to sell them though.

*checks mail*

Wow, £400 = $750 US dollars. I wouldn't double-dip either for that price. I only paid about $280 for my seven R1 sets (which I'm keeping as well), so another $240 for this one is a bargain. $500 is nothing for a total Buffy fix

Oh mailman, where art thou???

Damn, I have the R1 Angel sets as well, though I doubt I would pick up the similar R2 box set (which will eventually show up, I would imagine).

I have the R1 Angel sets as well, but you can be sure I'd pick up an Angel boxset like this if it were (which it probably will be) released. At least I'd get the previouslies back, and the couple of scenes they cut because they're missing.

Got my set this morning and it's a heavy little box! There's a book in the box with Joss's top ten non self-directed episodes, plus descriptions of every episode and chapter listings. The "Dear Buffy Fan" letter is sealed, so I haven't decided if I'm gonna rip it since someone already posted the contents of it. Can't wait to check out the discs!

Woo! Thank you Mr Courierman, I love you! I got mine bright and early this morning, and it's so cool. I've been reading other forums about how some people in the UK got theirs all smashed (one said it was as if his had been opened and re-shrinkwrapped because one of his seasons was all broken), so I was a bit scared mine would be too after travelling from the other side of the world, but it got here in great condition.

My ones number is 5761, what is everyone elses? I actually didn't read the Joss letter online because I wanted to read it when I got it myself. It took quite a job getting the envelope unsealed though, it's as if they don't want you to read it at all

I really hope they do Angel like this as well, it's really styly and compact, and they would look good together on my shelf. The only thing is it would be smaller, since Buffy had more seasons.

*runs off to watch entire series from the beginnning*

My # is 7499.

My heart dropped when I saw the condition of the outside shipping box, but the set (along with two other DVD's) was packed so well with the pressure plastic wrap, it was in perfect condition when I took it out. It looks so nice on my shelf between the Angel & R1 Buffy Sets!

I didn't bother opening the letter. Don't want to ruin the envelope . I threw in Beer Bad to check it out in widescreen and it was quite a revelation. Almost made that episode good!
