I think your're right, but it will only be 1-disc. (maybe a "flipper")

So...any word on how to get this for less than $18?

No, it won't be a flipper. The term "flipper" is only used when the movie is split across two sides.

ok..then what do you call it when the movie is on one side and the special features are on the other (ie. Butterfly Effect, Superman, Terminator)?

Either way....those dvds are a bitch to deal with.

When I get off work, I'll try to e-mail you with instructions to get the disc for less then $18. Bascically, your accessing a link to get £1 off and then applying an e-voucher code (during checkout) to get another £1 off.

I still can't get £3 off like Dane...

fyi

I was reading on the dvdplaza forums that CDwow is randomly canceling orders that are submitted with a combined discount link and e-voucher code.

Nope. It's still $18. I told you. You keep giving me only 1 step to do. 1 step won't do anything but take off $1!!!!

I have two more questions.

For R3 DVDs of films that are from the US, are the subtitles on the special features able to be removed?

Is the R3 of this DVD going to have the audio commentary?

Well, Take a look at the link Gerbil provided ....here it is.

http://www.kjaerland.dk/DVD/cdwowDiscount.asp

Look for the $2 USD (or whichever you choose).

I'm still confused. $2 brings it down to what...$15...16?? I still don't get how that translates into $13.

Push Eject, get off butt, turn disc over, push Play.

Man, modern technology sucks!

Getting off my fat ass isn't the problem (I still have to do it with 2+ discs sets)....I was referring how these discs are more susceptible to finger prints.

Still, If I have to "flip" the disc over to watch the features...it's a "flipper" to me.

Any word on if the commentary will be on this R3 release, and if so, will subtitles be able to be removed?

I've never bought a US film on R3 DVD.

Relax.

I think all of the R3 purchases I've made have had removal subs.

Still not sure about the commentary.

I am relaxed, but thanks for the advice.

I've already purchased the DVD, but I'm simply checking for an update on everything, that's all.

They are ussually identical to there Fox R1 counterparts in almost every way, so no need to worry about a thing
smaller companies do mess up big time with probs, but Fox isnt small and never has yet from all the ones I have bought, same goes for many other Big labels in asia.

Are both this movie and Day after Tomorrow good blind buys? I have them sitting in my cart but I'm still on the fence. Any help would be appreciated. I love hearing from fellow DVD Talkers

Many thanks!

Andre, I honestly don't think you can go wrong with their DTS sounds regardless of the story quality. I haven't seen either but I can tell you from what I have heard. When my girlfriend wacthed Day After Tomorrow she loved it and instantly stated I have to buy it for her. I Robot I heard was a bunch of fun. Also, as I stated, you really can't go wrong sound wise.

Here is my very quick opinion on the quality of the films.

The Day After Tomorrow - One of the most laughable, horrible, pathetic films ever. I hated it frame for frame...it was no great drama, but it might qualify for a great comedy, unintentional comedy.

I, Robot - A great little futuristic action film, with a few cool lines, with something of an interesting message. I really enjoyed it, and it was one of the only highlights of a horrible summer in terms of films.
