I think there is some talk about a Fraggle Rock disc that has been test marketed at Walmart

That's a good deal...this disc has more episodes IIRC than the R1 disc at Walmart.

I am hoping they'll release more discs soon.

Yes, but if I remember my glancing over of a Fraggle website, these are different from the US version of Fraggle Rock...

That's true they do differ slightly..

The difference between the US & UK versions were the scenes involving the man & his dog (Sprocket) who lived above Fraggle Rock.
In the UK version it is the Skipper (lighthouse keeper) & Sprocket living in a lighthouse and in the US it was Doc (inventor) and Sprocket in a workshop.

All the rest of the episode including fraggles, Gorg's, Trash Heap, Uncle Travelling Matt etc are exactly the same for US and UK versions.
