Best version of City of God?
I remeber reading somewhere that other regions have much better versions than the Region 1 City of God, but I never saw a mention of what other regions have versions better than R1.
I was hoping someone out there could help me out by giving your opinion on the best version of this film. Thanks for the help.

So, is it safe to assume that the Brazil version has better audio and the U.S. version would have better video? I guess there is no real difference in extra features.

It may be nice but it is missing out on the Excellent documentary on the R1/R2 UK edition.
The Japanese R2 has all the same extras as the Brazil R4,
but no english subtitles for anything there.
Only the HK version has DTS, but no extras.
I say its a double dipper, with the R4 and R1

Oh, thanks for that link, benedict and skyler. I have been wondering if there was a good site for comparisons and it looks like you two have pointed me in the direction that I need to go. Thanks again.

...quite some time ago we discussed the double R4 version and if my memory serves me well....it is not anamorphic.
