Save DVDBeaver!
This is a great site for international film buffs as Gary Tooze provides critical and objective dvd reviews and comparisons among different regions. This site will be shut down at the end of August if he is unable to receive enough support to keep it going. Here is the story.

dvd beaver is an invaluable resource. the dvd region comparisons set the standard and i hope it'll be around for years to come. be a great shame for the multiregion crowd to lose it.

He should do himself a favor and optimize/limit the number of images. I once left the computer loading the home page once, and it was still at it when I came back five minutes later. The site is absurdly graphics-heavy.

well, i would be bothered about saving dvdbeaver if their reviews were actually reviews... and the time it takes (even with broadband) to get the comparisons down... terrible, at least it does something (to some extent) others dont do by providing those comparisons...

Yeah, they're really nice. But it's not really necessary to have five posters for each movie, and a huge javascript rotating posters on every page.

Still, a great site... and one that has pointed me toward several Region 2 editions that I otherwise would be unaware of.

Agreed. I love the site (and will likely make a financial contribution)... but I'd like to see him try to minimize his bandwidth use on his own before turning to me for a cash infusion. Seems that there are definitely a few tweaks he can make on his end that would help matters.

BCO Wealth Management? What happened to "the end of August"?
EDIT: A DNS error, perhaps? I don't know what was wrong earlier, but it seems to be back now.
