Pirate Movie R4 any good?
Just wondering if this disc is any good. The girlfriend has the old crappy VHS of this but I was wanting to know if any of you guys have this one on R4 DVD? If so how is the transfer, sound etc? Not looking for anything spectacular but did not want to waste the cash if it is just terrible. Also speaking of other region stuff, what all region player would you reccomend in the 200$ and below budget range if any.

DVD Talk Gold Edition
It identical to the R2 version - full frame and barebones - 2.0 stereo only, with slightly different packaging. The UK one is a much better price. I'm starting to wonder if a good widescreen print of the film still exists. If you're big fan of the Pirate movie, you may want to buy it; it's certainly not terrible. The transfer is sharp and the sound is clear, but not outstanding. Check the International forum for a list of players. E-mail me for more info.
