Help for a newbie
I'm pretty new to this whole multi-region DVD thing having recently moved from the UK to the US.
I have a Yamakawa 219 DVD player which I am told can be set to multi-region but I don't know how. When I got the machine about 6 months ago it had some hand written instructions with it, but I must have put them in a "safe place" and promptly forgotten where I put them
I tried Google to see if I could find anything, but everything I found there did not work.
Can anyone please help me out?

Hello and welcome.....(you've been a member since 2002 but still a "new member"...hmmmm )
perhaps you might want to try this forum:
www.nerd-out.com
...and see if you could find some info on the player you have.
Let's us know how everything goes....
Cheers,

I registered here when I first moved over to the US because I brought over several DVDs and I had some questions about how to play them.
I don't know much about all this stuff, so the most I ever really do is surf for answers.
Thanks for your response pro-bassoonist, I'll check out that link.

*bump*
I have not had any luck searching other forums. I have posted to the one pro-bassoonist mentioned but no one has been able to help me.
I have found hacks for several other Yamakawa players, but nothing for the 219.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Hey Flimbo,
I don't see the 219 here, but they do list the 218, and I notice that some of the hacks work for different players. Here is the link, good luck!
