is City Of God edited in R1 (Disney)?

I noticed that HKFlix is selling a Cat.III (US: NC-17) version of City of God (R3-NTSC) that is 124mins (US sites say the R1 DVD is 130mins) so my question is, is there a Uncut version of this film around anywhere or is the R1 DVD cut the same as every other place?

Yeah, I had both DVD's and did screenshot comparisons... Only thing different is that on the HK dvd the burned in story titles were in Portugese and on the R1 DVD release they were in English.

I guess I should have worded that better,
I was going by HKFlix.com's mention of the film being Category III (which is the HK version of NC-17) the US DVD is rated R (and Disney don't release no NC-17 or Unrated DVDs) I was unsure if this film may have been edited for Violence or Sex in the USA and not in another country

Hopefully this post is worded better.

That was your fatal error... believe nothing hkflix says. In fact, if you can, avoid them like the plague...

OK, I just thought that since HKFlix is the "official" Hong Kong DVD dealer for dvdtalk that they were the best for getting correct info

I'm not sure this is the fault of hkflix, as I don't doubt that it is cat III. The question is, who told you that cat III = NC17? I would equate it to R most of the time.

Actually HKFlix is the ones who state that. They sat "roughly equivelant to an NC-17" here is there listing, rating is at the bottom

imdb mentions 1 cut,

Spoiler:
The brief orgy scene in the brothel killing sequence was edited out of the version screened in Singapore, despite the movie's R(A) rating (for 21 year olds and older).
