I think some of it means:

Commentaire audio de Mathieu Kassovitz (1999) - what it says, earlier comm. track by the director Kassovitz, recorded in 1999
Commentaire audio de Mathieu Kassovitz : 10 ans après - later one done in 2005 (I think?) "10 ans Aprés" means 10 Years Later, so it would be 10 years after the first release of the film
Commentaire audio de Vincent Cassel - perhaps it means Kassovitz and Cassel will be both featured on the newer track. They can't have 3 commentaries surely?

DVD 2
Documentaire sur les 10 ans du film - Documentary on films 10th Anniversary (I think)
Interview de l'équipe du film - Interview with the film crew
Reportage à Chanteloup les Vignes
Filmographies

DVD 3
Court métrage hommage à l'équipe de Kourtrajmé
Galerie photos
Coulisses du tournage - Special effects demonstration?
Making of
Scènes coupées et scènes en couleur - Scenes in black and white/colour? Dunno?
Bêtisier - Dunno?
Casting et répétitions
Scènes en multi-langues - Scenes in different languages
Storyboard
Affiches et projets
Images du Festival de Cannes - Pictures from Cannes Film Festival

A few clarifications.....

All preliminary info indicates 3 different commentaries...the latest one as pointed above recorded for the 10th Anniversary of the film.

Court métrage hommage à l'équipe de Kourtrajmé- This is the short documentary style film about Cassel's side project Kourtrajme (mostly rap/streets/projects inspired footage)

Scènes coupées et scènes en couleur - Scenes in black and white/colour- YES, the same extra is currently included on the UK disc. As you well know La Haine was filmed in colour and then re-done in B&W.

Betisier....I believe the same extra that was shown on FilmNet...

The rest of the extras are self-explanatory.

Update: 2006

La HAINE.....

A fancy UK set (metal tin/box) has been set for a June 5th release. Simply titled Ultimate Edition the extras are yet to be determined!

What are the differences between the Ultimate Edition and the 10th anniversary UK release. The price difference seems to be $20.

Well for once the ultimate edition is 3 disc including the soundtrack. as for quality etc. not sure.

What is the cheapest price on this so far? I've only seen it for about 30$ in both cd-wow and sendit.com (shipped)

Could someone give their opinion on whether or not the Steelbook version is worth the extra $20. A soundtrack isn't worth much to me but if the extras are extensive it may be worth the extra money.

Thanks

Steelbooks are very nice. Anyone I know who's had a Steelbook loves them.

Thanks - I couldn't find a review. I should have known to check sexgoremutants. That documentary sounds worthwhile.

Hello,

The Ultimate Edition is most definitely not a pointless double-dipper! All things considered it is a notch above the French deluxe edition (metal slip-case considered). Given the fact that La Haine will never get such treatment in the US I would think that it is a worthy final upgrade.

Ok, Ciao,
Pro-B
