Let's just say that if you are expecting Casshern to action packed like in the trailers, you are going to be very disappointed. The movie leans towards the drama side than action, but I still enjoyed the film. I thought at times the movies was hard to follow cause I kept on getting some characters in the movie mixed up. I need to watch this one again in order to give a definite opinion about the movie.

Before I actually watched Casshern, I remembered someone saying that this movie is not action packed like the trailer makes it out to be. I took that into consideration because if I believed all the hype from the trailer about how cool this sci-fi-action movie was going to be, I would have been terribly disappointed. I don't know about the rest of you, but if a movie gets hyped a certain way, and it turns out what I least expected, in most cases this willtotally ruin the movie for me.

I saw Casshern when I was in Japan and when I asked the ticket girl what kind of movie it was they said, action, sci-fi, thriller, drama, love story. ... Which i would easily put it in all those categories. Either way I enjoyed the movie a lot.

Curious, if I search on the catalog id for Casshern, da-452, I get a different link than the one posted at the beginning of this thread. Is this a single disc release? Release dates are the same. This one is cheaper.
Amazon.co.jp link
Any ideas?

I read somewhere that Casshern will come out in an "ultimate" edition which is a 2 or 3 disc set (depending on where you look), I'm assuming a 2 disc set with a making-of featurette and interviews with the prinicpals.
Hopefully this film isn't as chump story as Sky Captain, and the action is more fluid than that film's.

Ditto... or, hopefully, a KOR lim. ed.
