Chabrol box set
Hi,
Does anyone know anything about this Claude Chabrol box set ?
Some of the films are the same as the region 1 Pathfinder box set that I own, but I was wondering if the transfers are better here. Anyone have any info?
Thanks.

The transfers ARE OBVIOUSLY better. The R1 set is marred by non-anamorphic releases and often soft image quality. But not all films include subs (also keep in mind that as far as I could recall those were the old releases from "Les Films De Ma Vie" series).
MK2 put many Chabrol works on the market later on with superb quality...and no subs for many of them.

Note also that Arrow films have started to release Region 2 editions of some Chabrol films in the UK (with subs of course). I've only seen Les Biches so far but the transfer looked OK. They have announced releases for Le Boucher and La Femme Infidele as well.

Thanks Pro-B for the info. Subs are not important to me, as French is my first language. Still, I think all DVD's should have as many subs as possible (the Ruscico releases are great in this respect).
What I noticed after I posted is that this Chabrol box set sells for around 15 euros. That's 6 DVD's for the price of one! Pretty much a no-brainer, so I just ordered it.
