Karate Kid R2 Japan

I was wondering if this was in fact anamorphic. Maybe Kumar can help me out here. I saw that it runs about 2500 YEN at Tower Records Japan.

And speaking of Tower Japan, has anyone from the US ever been able to order from there? I have tried several times to signup but always get an error of some kind. Would really like to have an account set up there.

Okay, after I enter all my info where it is supposed to go, I get a popup with boxes in it, no actual language characters and once I hit the ok button, it takes me back to where I was with all my info still filled in.

Here is a screen shot of the error I get. It happens on both my aol and IE. I blocked out any info I had that might be private.

Ann as far as emailing them, I tried that once and never heard from them.

Kumar, it is appreciated, thanks. Now only if I could get this damn Tower Japan to work for me. Their price is about 1500 Yen cheaper than Amazon.

Well, if that pic is accurate, you didn't pick a "Recover Password Question."

Yes, I did....when that popup comes, that is left as shown it not being checked. However, when you click the ok button, it reverts back to what I chose.

I don't know if the above reference was for me or not. But if it was, and Karate Kid is listed a 16:9 Letterbox Vista, then I would take it to be anamorphic. I say that because if you look at CDJapan and their listing for the Glory Superbit, it has that same exact listing.... as well as many others.

Also, dvdprofiler has it listed as anamorphic as well. Maybe someone can verify what it TRULY is since many sites seem to list it different.

16:9 is anamorphic. i'm no expert but i know that
vista size/vision is the way it was filmed (panavision, cinemascope, etc..)

if you must be sure, i can take a look tomorrow for you. however, it looks like there are 2 versions of this with the same cover.

Kumar J, where do you get your dvd's? most places around here sell them at mrsp

Clown,

Yeah... you would think 16:9 would always mean anamorphic.. but sometimes that is just not the case. Thankfully I haven't been burned yet.

And as far as buying ti at this point, not at this moment. Basically, just wanting to know for future reference. Also, I have it listed in the 16:9/DTS Database and would like to know whether is belongs there or not.

Andy, I had that set. Wasn't bad! Good price on it too! However, most want the NTSC release.
