Just received Battle Royale II Limited Edition from DVD Asian.

It was my first time ordering from them and I am impressed! PLaced my order on the 25th, received an email within an hour and a half that my order shipped and then received it today, the 27th. And it came all the way from California (I'm in North Carolina)

from YesAsia:
- "Goodbye Dragon Inn"/"The Missing"
- "Ong-Bak" (VCD)
- "Old Boy"

- Checking "Twentynine Palms" tonight at Visions Theatre here in DC, it's gotten very mixed reviews, hope I like it.

what's the film: "Samaria"

Samaria is Korean director's Kim Ki-Duk latest movies. Like all his other movies, it pushes the limits on social values and morals. I have to check it out soon.

Yesterday, I ordered:
eBay
Suriyothai 5-hour version

Amazon.com
Fight Club SE (marketplace dude)
The Final Countdown LE
Full Metal Yakuza
Operation Scorpio
Things to Come

Nicheflix definitely has saved me a lot of time and cash. In the past I would read as many reviews as possible and shell out for the dvd on the ones that I think I would like. After watching some, I'd ebay it off because I did not want to keep it. Now, I don't care if it has a poor or mediocre review, I just rent it. In the end, I own less but I see more.

DDDhouse.com

Insomnia dts
Basic dts
Buffalo Soldiers dts

Figured I'd take a chance on these. Never seen Insomnia or Buffalo Soldiers. I just wanted to hear the dts track on Basic.

Thinking about pre-ordering the Miike Takashi's Zebraman Premium Box. You just gotta love the premise, but a blind buy @ $87? Ouch...

Official website: http://zebraman.jp/
IMDB: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0388556/
Asian Film Connections: http://www.asianfilms.org/japan/zebraman.html
Rotterdam Intl. Film Festival: http://www.filmfestivalrotterdam.com/en/film/29605.html

In a nutshell, the film is about a down-on-his-luck guy whe finds solace in dressing up as his favorite super hero (from a failed `70s kids show) and winds up saving the world from aliens. i think the Premium Box contains (i'm not sure if it's exclusive to it) an episode from the pseudo `70s era Zaburaaman TV show. Seems like it'd be fun to watch since i grew up watching those types of shows. Coincidentally(?) a few of them are being reaired locally - two are/were on the same station that originally aired them in the `70s.

Rammar, do you know if Zebraman has any english subtitles? It doesn't really specify on YesAsia's website.

*groan* That's the other thing keeping me from ordering either version. Since it's a Miike Takashi film, do you think it would it get a better chance for a HK or Kor release (w/ Eng subs)?

Sorry 'bout the treadjack - my last post on the matter.

Here is the trailer for Zebraman, looks funny as hell.

Does anyone have the preorder link to Amazon.jp for the 1 disc and 2 disc sets? It should be atleast 20 bucks cheaper there.

That sucks...Time to play the waiting game to see if there are subtitles or not. It is still very early (it doesn't come out till August), so hopefully the specs aren't fully published.
