Son Frere (British version)
Unlike the total mess the R1 version turned out to be the British are set to release a 16/9 print of Patrice Chereau's SON FRERE on June 14. The original French cover appears preserved.
No additional info regarding extras at this point.

It's a shame the specs are such a secret. This seems normal for the UK sadly.
The distributor seems none the wiser www.pprfilm.com
I do have a couple of their releases and they have always been feature filled.

I see André Téchiné/Stéphane Rideau's Loin will have English subtitles for the French release
Might take a look at that.

I hope this is not going to be another one of those "announced-with-subs / released-without'em" scheme - we'll see!
Could someone give me some more insight into SON FRÈRE? I happen to know exactly nothing about it - anyone?
Thanks,
S

If I'm a fan of the director (Patrice Chéreau this time), I tend to watch everything they do.
A review of the film here
Not seen it yet, but I intend to.

As to the Beart film I suppose your remark is directed at me as I was the one that posted the news....well, with so many French discs (Bon Voyage, Fanfan, Adolphe, etc) sometimes they get announced with subs and by the time they get released...things change. So, my info was based on what was posted by the French sites....
Nice to see you here again Seb....
