Amazon.co.uk: Is there a better place for buying British DVDs.
I've used Amazon.co.uk several times to buy DVDs. I was extremely pleased with the fast shipment, no VAT, and cheap shipping fees for all of my orders. Are there any other sites that are as reliable with possibly cheaper prices?

I'm also a big fan of amazon uk, - every transaction has gone smoothly.
My other favorite is HMV uk - they also ship fast, deduct VAT for shipments to the US, and have some nice sales.

sendit (Blackstar) is also very good, and CDWow is fine if they have what you want..
Bensons is another story - a long one, and an unappy one. There are some threads around about problems people (including me) have had with them.

Yes HMV.CO.UK are excellent. Fast and efficient, and VAT tax reduction.
Also there customer service staff are brilliant. I have had fast responses to all emails, and they have exceeded my expectations each time.
Also excellent delivery times.
I started using Amazon.co.uk, but i found their shipping costs to be quite a bit more expensive than HMV.
Hope this helps...

For buying Criterion DVDs, CDWOW is usually the best option in the UK (although a couple of times I found playusa.com to be cheaper). CDWOW tend not to be good at arthouse titles otherwise, and be aware that they charge on receipt of order not shipment.
play.com/playusa.com (R1/R2) are pretty good, reasonably priced and do free delivery.
Although not the cheapest I'd also recommend www.moviem.co.uk as they specialize in art cinema, have good customer service and one gets the feeling they really care about the films they sell. Their website also has an excellent forthcoming release calendar.
Amazon.co.uk is reliable and their customer service is exemplary. Postage is free if you spend over £25 (not a problem for me, I have to admit).
