Fist of Legend - Is the French 2 disc the way to go?
Did some research and the R1 from dimension is cut, and has english dub only. The Ritek (Taiwan) has a mediocre transfer and seems to be OOP. Any other versions out there or is the French 2 disc the way to go?
P.S. Yes, I know it only has French subs.

Isn't the Pathfinder DVD OOP? HKflix is all out of copies. Anyway, I have the Winson DVD, which is the same. Haven't seen it yet but if you can't find the Pathfinder DVD, this is a nice alternative.
Yes, the French Fist of Legend is the way to go. I saw the Dimension and the HK Video (French) DVD and the French DVD is superior in every way. Better picture, better sound, better extras, and it's uncut, with the original music and language track. Luckily I'm French so I understood everything. The doc on the second disk comparing Fist of Fury and Fist of Legend is completely fascinating. The interview with Gordon Chan is in English so you can watch that whether you know French or not.
The only difference in terms of movie between the French and Taiwanese DVDs is that the Taiwanese DVD has the opium scene which the French DVD doesn't have.
I'm extremely happy with it and it's going to be the only version I own until Miramax gives up the rights for the movie.

Ok guys thanks for the info. I'm french speaking so lack of english subs isn't a factor for Fist of Legend.
I saw Master... is listed as OOP on Hkflix but looking at dvdpricesearch, several etailers still seem to have it. I read some reviews and although the transfer isn't perfect, minor flaws don't bother me.

Damn, that French DVD of Fist of Legend sounds nice (except for the missing scene). I'm considering picking it up even though my French is kind of shaky. (I've seen the movie enough times to know whats going on, anyway).
Are the French subs forced, or can you watch the film with no subs at all? (if I pick up the disc, it could be a subtitling project for me.
