The movie is pretty good, many dislike the way it ended. I thought it was an ok ending, could have been better. Two cops, each fall for a different girl. Rating: 3/5.

Fantastic film with strong performances from all the lead, especially Francis Ng! Several good and violent action scenes interspersed throughout between the gripping story. Highly recommended!!

there's a newly remastered release by Mei Ah which has anamorphic image and DTS soundtrack but I don't have it and I haven't seen any reviews of it yet so I can't compare between the two. The picture quality of the original is quite good though, even though it's not anamorphic

This is one of my favorite HK dramas from the past decade or two and features one of Francis Ng's finest performances, and the new Mei Ah remaster is pretty good. It's not a massive leap over the original disc but if you don't already have the original DVD (or love the movie a lot) you should definitely get the new remaster.
