Help with Yesasia Order

Hi I'm in Canada, ordering from Yesasia for the first time. I'm having some problems. I made an order recently and got this e-mail today.

____

Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for shopping at YesAsia.com.

As our credit card processor could not verify the billing address registered in
your shopper profile, we have temporarily placed the above order on hold to
protect you from any unauthorized use of your credit card.

To ensure that you are the rightful cardholder kindly provide us with one of the
following pieces of information at your earliest convenience:

(a) A copy of the front and back image of your credit card. (Please black-out
the signature area for your own protection);

OR

(b) A copy of your most recent credit card statement, which must clearly show
the credit card number, the cardholder name and the billing address.

Please send one of the above mentioned documents to our Accounting Department
via fax at (415) 777-3608 or by email, clearly indicating your order number for
reference.

Your order will be immediately processed when we receive your fax or email.

If you have received this message in error or have any questions or concerns,
please do not hesitate to contact our Accounting Department via email. We look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Accounting Department
YesAsia.com Inc.

I've checked and the billing address is correct. So if this has happened to anyone before, does anyone know what the cause of this usually is? Also, does anyone know how safe it is to do what they are asking you to do? like scan the statement or card and send it over the net? Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Like the e-mail mentioned "if you have received this message in error or have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our Accounting Department via email," i'd do that first.

Always black out the middle sequence of digits when faxing a credit card statement. Black anything else that isn't relevant. All they should need to see is the billing address and the first and last set of digits.

Is your billing address for the credit card the same as the shipping address you've entered? Sometime that discrpancey triggers the sort of email you recieved.

I got a similar message because we just recently moved. Just call them. I had it all cleared up in 5 minutes. You may just want to double check your credit card company to to make sure everything is ok as well.
