Has anyone viewed the Hong Kong Legends release of this flick? Any feedback?

Not sure what kind of feedback you are looking for, the film, the dvd, or both?
It is a pretty fun movie, and as far as I can recall it was presented anamorphic, with a good transfer.

After hearing how everyone hated this film for years, I finally picked it up last year and quite enjoyed it. Maybe people don't like Jackie doing comedy.
I think there's also a cheap Fox/Fortune Star version out.

"City Hunter" gets an unfair rap.
It's a great film for a festival showing. Saw it with a rabid crowd of fellow HK fans many years ago in good old London and it was great fun.
Some of the humour does not translate and some is just childish. but the action is great, the characters fun and it's well worth a look.
The worst aspect is actually a VERY and I mean VERY bad stand-in during the finale fight where big white guy is replaced by short Chinese guy. Not good.
That aside though some of the fights and the action set pieces are top notch. The "Game of Death" sequence, the lethal flying cards, the exploding corridor, the Chingamy machine gun spin and the really bizarre "Street Fighter" scene all stand out.
The opening lines where Jackie is describing his character compared to his partner is a hoot!

yeah, sorry, should have been more clear. I'm very familiar with the film and was interested in the merits of the HKL DVD. I've read that the domestically re-released anamorphic version (as opposed to the HKL version) suffers from a very bad sound mix. Has anyone done a comparison review? I haven't been able to locate anything online. Thx!
