From my post in the Kill Bill thread:
Someone did the translation of the Hero prologue and epilogue. If you do a search for it in this forum, you should find it.

Quick "translation" (actually a combination of my kind of limited Japanese reading ability combined with guessing the obvious ):
Main menu:
Play movie
"Scene index"
Special features
Language/subtitle selection
Special features menu:
-Fight scenes selection
-Anime Making of.. doc
-Behind the scenes footage
-Anime/storyboard comparison
-Personel (which leads to another menu featuring "Staff list" and "cast list")
-Stills (which leads to another menu featuring "Photography" and Animation design sketches)
-Trailers
-TV spots
-"Main menu"
Fight scene menu:
-"vs. Copperhead"
-"vs. Crazy 88" 1
-"vs. GoGo Yubari"
-"vs. Crazy 88" 2
-"vs. Johnny Mo"
-"vs. Cottonmouth"
That's most of it. Words in quotes are direct translations of Japanese katakana or kanji characters, the rest is just an approximate translation.

If you have the means to post some screen captures I could help, as I don't have the disc itself.
Not to get too offtopic, but does the R2J disc have any special features over the R1? It's been a while since I last watched it, but I remember the R1 being pretty skimpy.

oh, you mean literal translations? even then, quick perusals will give you a solid idea of what each item is. in general, it may be a better method than translating-to-remember since memorized actions stick around longer than memory-recall actions.
besides, at least a third of the fun (based on absolutely no empirical data) of getting import titles is fiddling around in the contents anyway...
