As long as the price isn't as outrageous as Azumi, I will.

It seems there is a 1 disc and a 2 disc set. Here is the link to the amazon 1 disc.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/...651198-3464304

And here is the two disc

That wasn't so hard after all!

There is a box set I think, was not so interested in this title but there is plenty of that DVD in the local stores.

Sky High was also a TV show, that is probably the box set you are seeing Kumar.

Thanks flashburn! I'd found that link earlier but as there wasn't any picture ... I doubted it was Sky high...

Could you find me Azumi on amazon.co.jp?

I read somewhere that the 2 Disc SE has a longer cut of the movie that the Theatrical 1 Disc. Anybody know if this true? I usually don't go for the SE JP releases but if there's significantly more footage I might think about it.

Is this movie worth getting for those who have already seen it? I enjoyed Versus and Azumi, but I was bored with Alive. Yesasia has this up for pre-order for $58.49. I don't know how this compares to amazon.jp or HMV, but I am kind leaning towards picking this one up cause I like the premise of the story.

Take a look here:
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/(simple)/de...?KEY=ASBY-2484

I think that it does have English subs...otherwise it doesn't make sense. But it is just a presumption.

I'm gonna wait for a korean or HK version of Azumi and Sky High... I'm sick of buying japanese DVDs and then seeing a much cheaper version come out that's actually better... and they're coming much quicker these days too. Any ideas when on either of these?

What makes you think they'll ever make it to HK/Korean DVD? None of Kitamura's stuff has ever been released in Hong Kong or Korea as far as I know although I would have thought Azumi would have at least had a chance.

Here is the 2 disc for Azumi

I am tempted to place an order for that, Sky High and Heat. But, man, that would be a ton of cash, for 3 movies...

Yeah , the Korean "Zatoichi" is much cheaper than the Japanese one... and the quality is the same. It is just a direct port of R2 Japanese. But will all these movies get a Korean release? You never know...

Like LeRoy already said, none of Kitamura's other work has been released in Korea or HK, so I wouldn't expect anything soon.

However Media Blasters did recently purchase the rights of a few of Kitamura's other films, including Ultimate Versus and Alive. They did not get Azumi or Sky High though.

Between both me and Trigger buying Azumi and Sky High, that should get an announcement popping up like next week saying they are going to release them in Korea...
