I am staying away from PAL discs now. For one they are flagged as video for some reason, which trips up the majority of DVD players, and they display a lot of smearing in pan shots compared to their NTSC counterparts on my display (NEC 42VP4 plasma).

yeah...but most of those are just "on order" in my head.
