Lets play Region Code bingo!

The Rules - simple. The first one to gets a DVD from every region on the planet WINS! The prize? The knowledge that you are superior to everyone else in the forum, and a copy of our home game.

My Bingo Card so far -
Region 0: My El Santo movies from Mexico will fit the bill here.

Region 1: That one's a gimme. Any domestic release will do

Region 2: My Doctor Who collection from the UK - or my Studio Ghibli collection from Japan.

Region 3: Any number of the HK releases of the Godzilla movies

Region 4: Just got my copy of the Hulk Hogan masterpiece Santa With Muscles from Australia today. Woo Hoo.

Region 5: Nothing yet

Region 6: Nothing here either (tho you'd think with all my HK movies I'd have ONE from china. Go figure)

Region 0 - some Criterions, many HK discs
Region 1 - many US or Canada discs
Region 2 - I'm living in Europe - so that one is easy
Region 3 - a few HK discs and many korean releases
Region 4 - The Ring (Australia)
Region 5 & 6 - my Metallica S & M DVD is coded Region 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 (it's not Region Code free, because Region 1 is not included)

Well, I've got 0-4 covered, but that's not so unusual.

What abut 7 or 8? Anyone have one of those? I think that 8 is for airline use, and I can't recall what 7 was for.

I have dvds from regions 0-4... nothing from the others. However, I do have a few DVDs that list 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 in the region box.

I think we should do Black-Out Bingo instead, and have to get one that begins with every letter from every region. This is supposed to be a challenge!

I've got a couple discs flagged as 2,8 and 2,6. I don't think I have a region 7 though.

Now, all someone needs is a 747, and region 8 will be theirs.

I got region 0, 1, 2, 3, and 6. Well, Deltamac' Iron Monkey is that's region 3 and 6. I don't like PAL so I don't think I'll buy and region 4 and 5 DVDs...

Does anybody have a DVD that's JUST region 6? Never seen one before.

(How as this for a useless post!)

I have regions 0-3 more than covered but thats it.

I've always wondered what region 7 is "reserved" for. Just in case a new country is created? Or maybe if we find life on Mars, they get region 7?
