Just curious, I love this movie & was curious if any other region has it available in widescreen or is it only a full screen movie. Thanks.

I also paid 4.99 (pounds) but through this link.

They took forever though since I was a first timer. It arrived safely. I no longer have the movie. It wasn't bad but not a kepper.

Hey, I'm listening to the commentary right now and it's hilarious. Kardeem Hardison is very funny. These guys have so much fun yucking it up.

The picture is very nice, although there are some specks and things. and the sound is also very good. The extras are very good. The commentary is worth the price alone.

In any case, if you can't play PAL, Amazon says there's a region 1 version available. I don't know, though, and I doubt it would be better than the CE from Prism.

DDD recently had it up for pre-order, but now I can't find it.

Sessa17,

I would highly recommend you to:

A. Purchase a region free player that converts PAL to NTSC (Phillips 727).

B. Purchase Drive SE from Blackstar.

Its a superb film, with superb extras, and very different to the crappy version everyone has seen on tv and video, this is a better film by far, its a must buy, and for that price, its a give away!

I thought the R1 was long OOP.. and cut with that crappy hip-hop or whatever music on it.

Oh.. OK.. SO I DID recently buy the VHS tape.

The Medusa DVD is R0 PAL, not R2 and is STELLAR and awesome.

Some of the older pressing died at the layer change (last five minutes of the movie).

According to hkflix, the Medusa DVD is out of print; but they offer what appears to be the exact same version (with the same extras) from a distributor called Prism Leisure Corp.

I guess this is the same disc quality-wise?

Identical as far as I know, just a slight change of packaging really and a nice cheap price as well.

I have the Medusa and I can testify that it is indeed quite awesome. This film and DVD was the reason I first signed up to DVDTalk.
