Prepare to bring US$300 if the stores still have 1 or 2 left due to cancelled pre orders.Or else look at Akihabara for second hands sets

Bring it to the airport and then let them take care of the luggage.Or throw the box away and carry the head only hand carried.

The box is small enough to be taken as a carry-on, and it has it's own handle. The head/discs are firmly package, so you should be able to stow it without any fear of it being damaged.

don't throw that box out...you'll probably need it one day to store it. besides, if you ever get crazy and sell it, it'll fetch more with the box than without. of course, you would never part with it.

Are used sets of this actually for sale in Akihabara? Do you know how much they usually sell for? I'm hoping to track one down when I go to Japan in December, and I'll definitely be spending a full day in Akihabara. If I get one, I'd probably end up shipping it back to Canada, because I'll be dragging enough crap back home as it is.

Hey Kumar, same as me, i live close by to there.
The only thing is, I'm not all that interested in it,
especially it seems like the US version does have the directors cuts and theatrical cuts, as opposed to the Japanese release which I believe Aliens and Alien3 do not have both cuts.

Well I saw some adds on the stores asking for the used one, and they were willing to pay around US$150 for the whole set! I think someone is selling the head only, and keeping the kubrick and DVD's!Well around December , I think you might get a used one for the same price that Amazon sold because this item is OPP

Now Germany gets its Alien Head as well. For a "low" price of 265€ you can pre-order it from amazon.de. The price is bit high considering there are probably no Alien Kubrick and no English DTS track in this package. I'm glad I stayed with my Japanese Head.

Hi all, I am new here but I just thought I would post this info in case you are interested:
The Alien Head special edition packaging of the Alien Quadrilogy is available now in the UK (produced by Fox) with all the films in english etc. It is an HMV exclusive here, and is priced at £99.99 (about $190).

If you are interested, here is the link
Alien Quadrilogy: Alien Head: 9dvd: Box Set: Hmv Exclusive: Special Packaging

It is released on the 7th March '05 (tommorow) and comes with the big Alien Head for storing the discs and the ordinary Alien Quadrilogy pack (in case you don't want to store the discs in the head) and yes, it is the usual UK edition of the quadrilogy which means nice thin packaging and all the proper directors cuts and special features.

Hope you guys find this information useful.
