Kubrick Collection or dir. cut of Shining in NTSC anywhere?
I've tried searching around, and previous threads have posted R2 and R4 as good releases for the Stanley Kubrick Collection. However, they are PAL - anyone know if there are NTSC versions out there? Of course, the main reason I'm looking around for non-R1 is for the director's cut of The Shining (in addition to the longer cut - gotta have both!). The rest of the collection would be great too in a non-snapper form.

Why are you referring to the shorter cut as "The Director's Cut"? Kubrick cut both the long and short versions himself, and kept the longer cut as the one available in the US for the remainder of his life. Both are director's cuts.

Ok, thanks for your response - it has been discussed in other threads, so I won't go into it here. Does anyone else know if the shorter cut is available somewhere in NTSC? The cut that is available in the rest of the world for "the remainder of his life?"
I am just looking to repurchase the Kubrick collection (gave my R1 away to my brother), and I would like to collect the other versions of these movies, if they are available in NTSC. The best so far I've found is the R4 Brazil collection. It's missing Dr. Strangelove, but I can easily pick that up again from R1 (or maybe R2 Japan) Anyone know which version of The Shining is included in R4? Thanks in advance.
