I'm Italian!!!I have a DVDplayer but I want to buy a DVDrecording player that has PAL/NTSC sistem to see DVDs Region1.
PHILIPS DVDR70, PANASONIC DMR-E50, SAMSUNG DVDR4000 have PAL/SECAM/NTSC but can they pass an eventual RCE?
I want to buy these DVDs Region1:
WILDCATS (1986) WARNER HOME VIDEO
PROTOCOL (1984) WARNER HOME VIDEO
SWING SHIFT (1983) WARNER HOME VIDEO
BEST FRIENDS (1982) WARNER HOME VIDEO
LOVERS & LIARS (1979)
BUTTERFLIES ARE FREE (1972) COLUMBIA
All GOLDIE HAWN's DVDs.Have they the RCE?
How can I do to see these DVDs?Which DVDrecording player or DVDplayer I have to buy?Please help me soon.THanks

un po' di consigli:
- a parità di prezzo un DVD recorder è qualitativamente inferiore a un semplice lettore.
- PAl/NTSC non è un problema in quanto gli apparecchi per R2 sono gli stessi per il Giappone, che è in R2 ma usa NTSC.
- quanto vuoi spendere? io ti consiglio il Denon 2800: per 1000 euro hai una macchina con la scansione progressiva e con una meccanica silenziosissima.
- la protezione RCE non è un problema per nessun lettore, in ogni caso ci sono mezzi per aggirarla.

CERCO mdm67 !!!
se mi compro un lettore dvd da 200euro (philips o samsung) ke legge pal /ntsc/secam e poi compro dei dvd in R1 ke mi interessano ed eventualmente hanno la protezione RCE che mi da problemi come posso fare x aggirarla ?

someone made me notice is not polite to use a language not all members of the forum can understand, so let's switch back to english, my fault
basicly there are 2 kind of region free dvd players
1 - players changing region code through the remote control
2 - players changing region code automatically when you insert a disc
in the first case there is no RCE trouble at all
in the second case the trich is: play an unprotected R1 DVD - so the player's setting goes on R1 - then play the RCE disc, that's all.
My Collection

..."SECAM" applies only to TV broadcasts and, necessarily, VCR recording(s)... there are no such things as SECAM DVDs, there are only NTSC and PAL DVDs...
