Just watched it!!

I have the white paper cover that has the black one underneath. And its region free...DTS with 2 discs...

Great movie. Does anyone know if there is a soundtrack? I want that song they play in both movies...the "test" song for the sound system??

in IA1 - Andy Lau uses it for a test disc
in IA2 - Mary, Sam's wife is listening to it and she gives it to young kid that will soon be Andy Lau...

anyone know the song??

Rumor has it - the directors own - that all 3 movies will come in box-set next year in an extended versions in the right order. Sorry, but I cannot remeber where I read this.

according to a news i saw, it said that the director will cut the 3 movies into a 4 hours show next year if he got time. then if possible, he will re-shoot certain parts and make the whole 3 movies into a 10 part mini series.

The info I got about the 6 hour DVD, was from a friend who read it in a Chinese newspaper where the director got interviewed. But nothing has been confirmed at this moment. Let´s just hope he will do it.

I just want to confirm... this 2 disc set is really region 0 and will play in a region 1 player? Has it really been mis-marketed as region 3?

Watched IA2, and all that I can say is that if this movie was standalone, and not a prequel it would have been really good. As it is a prequel, they just made the story to sensational to make it logically fit with IA in key parts.

I received the Limited Edition of this (believe 3000 sets only) and it is a great package. Totally Love the book that came with it.

You also get a small desktop calender inside the package a normal size calender as well.

There is also a numbered sheet of paper with all the stars signatures too.

IA rocks.

Just had a friend bring back a copy from HK of IA2. Maked as Region 3 so I popped it into my region Free Apex, but have not tried my R1 Panasonic. Look forward to actually sitting down and watching the movie.

I'm just curious, why would they market this as region 3 if it is really region 0. To get around export restrictions?

A lot of Hong Kong discs are labelled as Region 3 but not actually encoded that way. Returner comes to mind.
