Hi, I am looking for non region 1 dvd's that are in unique packaging, like the Hulk 3 disc set, and the Hero box set, and the r2 hero set that is coming out in Janurary,

Are there anyother dvd sets avaialble like this, I know about the 2 disc donnie darko, any others,

is there any place I can get the big wooden crate version of Spider man from France?

You'd have to look outside of the US, because we don't get any of the cool packaging here!

Seriously though, there are tons of releases out there that would probably qualify, so are you looking for anything in particular? Japan has a gazillion (yes, a gazillion) cool box sets, but most of them contain no English, or are VERY expensive. Korea seems to be the place to go for less expensive versions of the cool Japanese sets.

There are some very cool unique, special Terminator 2, Total Recall, and Predator sets I've seen. I think they were Japanese...

I do not care what genre it is, but they must have at least english subtitles or english dubs.

I have French T2 & Total Recall Tins. The tins come housed in a large clear padded plastic case with a big picture of Arnold as T2 with half his face missing and a red led that flashes in his 'robot' eye.

How about the Korean 'pizza' tin for Lord of the Rings. Korea has a few very cool and inexpensive wood boxes for some movies. Korean Band of Brothers military satchel, leather satchel for Dances with Wolves, Japanese was only fake leather.

I love the military satchel for BoB, I have not seen the leather stachel for Dances with wolves but it sounds great.

and what is in the chicago box set it looks just like the same size as the region1 spider man box set, it this correct? if so what is in it?

usually if it is a english show, it will have original english tracks in jap dvd. not too sure if it has any english subtitles.

the box contains "Chicago Special Edition"(2 disc: main feature + bonus extras), a lyric sheet, a deluxe booklet, a schedule notebook, a perfume bottle, a cigarette case, and fishnet tights.

I usually get my Korean dvds from http://www.koreandvs.com/ I only have one wooden box but it is very high quality and was only $3 more than the dvd without the box! I can't for the life of me remember the title of that movie. It starts with CH though.

They also have the OOP Universal classic Horror movies in two Wooden Coffins. Three dvds are inside of each. Very cool.

That set is long out-of-print, so you might want to check the French version of eBay.

yeah I found one on regular ebay for around $150, is that a good price

I've never priced that one, so I'm really not sure if it's a fair price or not, but considering it's hard to find, you may not have much of a choice.

yeah i just logged bak into ebay and the auction ended, I alaways miscalculate the time when items are ending.

I just recently picked up the "Friend" Ultimate Edition from YesAsia. It's comes with a nice metal tin and an extra little insert thing which would probably be cool if I could read Korean. I haven't watched it yet, but I hear it's good.

Another good one is the Battle Royale: Director's Cut Tin available in the UK. I got it from Amazon.co.uk.
