Ju-on DVD?
I saw a copy of what I believe was the TV version (it was listed as 70 minutes and put out by Toei) at Kim's in New York, but when will an offical release of the theatrical version be released? Any news?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I believe, if I'm not mistaken, there is an official Singapore dvd release of theatrical Ju-on that just came out. It has english subs, passed uncut, but is region coded PAL. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Singapore + Pal = their standard.

The company is legit, what is hilarious is that they released an edited version of the direct to video Juon's using a stolen English subtitle script. In my books that's as bad as releasing it without a license...morons.

I just received my Ju-on from cdjapan yesterday; no English subs, but the 2-disc set is full of extras, and the audio/video quality is good. This seems like one of those movies that will still hold its own, even if you can't understand a word of it.
I'm going to dig out my Japanese dictionaries from my college days and try to translate some of the menus; I'm hoping someone with more skill in this area will beat me to it.

FYI, Ju-On is out now! I just picked up my copy yesterday in NYC Chinatown for $16.50. Haven't watched it yet aside from popping it in briefly, although I can say it's anamorphic.
I'll post more later this evening.

The Korean release isn't slated to have any English subtitles according to the supplier. The IVL HK release has been available since last week and looks to be the best option for most...
