LG DVD player
Hi,
I was just wondering if anybody knows any problems/dangers/side-effects of using a hack code on an LG DV7711P to make it a multi-region player??
Also, does anybody know anything about the Magnavox MDVD50??? I've tried searching but can't seem to find anything about it.
Any assistance anybody could provide would be greatly appreciated =)
Thanks

I don't know about that LG model as such, but as far as I'm aware most LG DVD players use the Aiwa 370 hack without any problems/side-effects.
Of course, if you're only entering a code via the remote this is fairly safe as you're not physically altering the machine and therefore your warranty should still be valid.
As for the Magnavox... you don't mean the MDV450, do you? There's a review (and multi-region hack info) here:

As an ex-owner of an LG (Zenith) player, I can report that the Pause 3141590 Pause hack has no side effects...
As for the Magnavox, if you are in Oz, it's on sale in Kmart apparently...
