Ulrik,

Thank you for your generous help !

I'm also very interested in the Dannish edition though already own the Taiwan release.

I've heard of its release for a long time but find nothing till I saw the discussion in your board and start the discussion here to inform others.

Could you tell us some technical specs of the release ?

Kindly count me in in your shipping lists.

Thanks !

DAHF: Very strange method of marketing! Is it normal in Denmark to be a member of a supermarket? It is done here in places like Sam's Club and Costco, but it is very far from the norm.

Count me in as wanting this set very much. If you do decide to buy extra copies to sell here, I'd like to be included also.

Thanks!

@Hemulen, kenho, BigT and others: If you are interesed in The Kingdom DVD please send me an email ([email protected]) with your "order". The interest has already been overwhelming...not so sure now that it was such a good idea to make this kind of offer on at major board like DVD TALK ...BUT I'm determined to help anybody who wants my help, so please don't hesitate to send me an email.

@BigT: No it is not normal to be a member of a supermarket here either. COOP Denmark owns several chains of supermarkets where everybody can shop, but if you are a member you get certain advantages...like $30 off The Kindom in august. Go figure

Also it is NOT the norm to release a major DVD title this way either. It is very strange

The back of the cover should have all the information you need regarding the technical specs. I haven't found any mistakes in the listing on the back of the cover. The picture is 4:3 and the sound is DD 2.0 (surround). Also everything on all 4 discs have optional english subtitles.

This is very common in the US too. Every major supermarket here has those 'cards' that you sign up for. You get a discount on certain items and they get a complete record of your buying habits.

Casinos do the same thing. Most people just don't look for them.

I e-mailed him and explained that i wouldn't be able to buy it until the first week in August when funds would be available for me to purchase...apart from his very kind offer he seemed prepared to go along with this which was equally generous of him..hopefully the situation remains the same

Here's sumthing to whet your appetite...
--Clik Clik!--

Just done the whole of Riget I (R1, Seville) yesterday! Seeing Lars in tux doing the debriefing at the end of the show is great; almost like Hitchcock presenting his films.... The whole build up leading to the last climatic episode only to see it topple in hilariity is nothing short of a masterpiece. i swear i could hear him chuckle thruout the episodes.... Can't wait for the SE dvd!!!

Read sumwhere he's inspired by Lynch's Twin Peaks series too.....

Anyone also thinks that Hook(Soren Pilmark) is a deadringer for Matthew Perry(+5years)???? hehheh

FYI:

Apparently Stephen King will be remaking "The Kingdom" for the ABC television network as a 12 episode miniseries and calling it "Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital".

"Stephen King's Kingdom Hospital?

That is a pretty dumb title IMO. This is good though, maybe we will get an R1 (US) release of the whole original series if the King remake does well.

Actually reading the link now, I am both horrified and oddly interested in seeing Andrew McCarthy in this

babka: You must e-mail member DAHF (post above) - he is an individual located in Denmark, not a store or online retailer. This set is only available in stores in Denmark and nowhere online. An unusual way to market dvds, but there it is.
