I picked this set up out of curiosity, as I already have the R1s.
Its late, and my eyes may be tired, but I found the picture on both the theatrical and directors cuts to look just like the R1s.
That doesn't mean they all look the same! I thought the theatrical cut in both regions looked a bit more natural in some scenes than the extended versions.
But tonight I'm not seeing the improvements from R1 to R3 that Phil is.

The Korean release features both cuts of the film on 2-discs while the Superbit features the Director's cut only
