Die Another Day(R2 vs R1)

I see that Die Another Day will be released in R2 a month ahead of the R1 release. What does the R2 version have that the R1 doesn't have?

R2 has an exclusive documentary....which is no surprise since we got cheated in the World is Not Enough as well.

The exclusive documentary is a sort of video diary/fly-on-the-wall style 50 minute affair.

It should also be noted that the other difference between the R2 is the R1 version has the toned down love scene between Berry and Brosnan, and the R2 is uncut.

huh, that's interesting, i hadn't heard it before. sure enough, the imdb says:
Two minutes were cut from the Berry/Brosnan love scenes to secure a PG-13 rating in the US.
certainly looks like R2 is the way to go, but too bad i'm the only person i know that can play anamorphic PAL, guess i'll need to have people over instead of taking this disc on the road..

skokefoe.

Has anyone confirmed which region will receive which cut? For example, has it been verified that the R2 UK DVD will use the uncut version? And what about the Canadian R1 release? Sometimes Canada will receive the international cuts (such as they did with the DVDs for "Trainspotting" and "Eyes Wide Shut").

The Canadian release of Eyes Wide Shut is from Warner Bros and is a straight import of their US disc.
