Has anyone experienced problems with their Universe disc? Mine had several half-second pauses throughout the movie, although the disc itself doesn't have any visable markings on it. I also thought that the picture looked kind of washed out, like the contrast was up too high or something, but it's not my TV since every other movie looks fine.

I'm thinking that I'd like to 'upgrade' to the official Japanese release (single disc version) but no one online is selling it, only this HK version or the absurdly expensive 2-disc. Going by cover art alone, it appears that there might a few JPN versions on Ebay, but I can't get enough information out of the sellers to be sure...

I've had problems getting my Apex to even recognize the disc, but my XBox and PC play it no problem. I'd venture to guess you just have a bad disc, since Universe isn't known for their great quality measures.

Man, the trailer I downloaded from their site looks extremely cool. Can anyone confirm the HK edition is region free and will (probably) play in my Toshiba SD-2109? Thanks!

Check my earlier post. Confirmed all copies of this have been all-region.

Thanks. I'm new to the world of international DVD so I was a little confused by the previous posts by you and others.
