Cannibal Holocaust - Which version to get?

I've heard about this movie and am really interested in it, but what version on dvd is the best? When adding it to my dvdaficionado wish list, I noticed a few versions are edited.

How are the uncut versions in terms of quality and subs (I'm not positive about the dialogue)?

Thanks!

The first version from EC Entertainment (Dutch R0 NTSC disc) is uncut but not anamorphic. The 2nd edition is anamorphic but for some reason is missing 5 seconds. The UK disc is cut. Luminous sells a Spanish (?) DVD but I don't have any info on that one. At any rate, I want to pick this up myself, have done a bit of research and this is what I came up with so far.
(not sure about the Spanish one, but the UK and Dutch discs are in English)

It's probably best to wait for the special edition that's coming to region 1 from Grindhouse. All other current versions are compromised by cuts or quality.

No problem, malkmuz. It looks like the first Dutch version is the the best we have for now. (I think xploited cinema sells it, but it might be the 2nd slightly cut version).

I heard a while ago that Grindhouse was supposed to releasing a special edition, but haven't heard anything new lately. Is it still on the way? Based on their past work, it would be a very nice release, so I hope so!

The EC Entertainment release is anamorphic widescreen and uncut and is the best release currently available.
