Brass Eye R2, IMO one of the best comedies ever.

You guys have given some great suggestions. Thanks! A couple of questions:

They Live- I have the OOP R1, but could sell and upgrade. Wasn't there a rumor of this (and PoD) coming as an R1 SE?

Battle Royale- How is the 2-disc Korean version (extended cut) available at yesasia.com? Does it compare to the R2?

Ed Wood- Is the R1 release definitely shelved?

Lost Highway- I thought that was coming R1 later this year. True?

Thanks again! Any other suggestions would be great.
As you can see from my collection, I don't mind spending a little bit of money, but I think this multi-region idea could get painful!

IIRC, the Korean version has superior sound (DTS) than the tin but the extras are not subtitled as they are in the case of the tin.

I'm new to the multi-region arena and while it could get painful (searching for comparisons between region versions) & expensive ($39.99 & up for many titles) I've been having a blast with it. Hope you will too.

IIRC there is also an issue with the picture quality, I could be completely off on this so don't listen to me unless someone backs that up here. Though the R3 almost makes it worth it for me to pick up in addition to my tin one because of the map

I am so happy that I got a multi-region player. It has allowed me to watch things that I never would have been able to watch on DVD. Have fun with it. And it doesn't get to expensive till you get into the R2 Japan DVDs lol, that's when your wallet really starts to feel it

I wanna recommend To End All Wars. I just saw this film and wow, if you're looking for a serious war-drama about prison camps, look no further. It's based on the same events as The Bridge Over River Quai, but it's a bit more serious, like most newer warfilms are. The r2 disc is anamorphic, dolby digital 5.1, optional subs, and includes a pretty interesting 30 minute behind the scenes documentary. There's also a trailer. You can buy the disc here:
