Malata vs. Cyberhome CH-500
I was wondering if others saw a difference in quality between these two players for pal discs?
I own Malata N996 and Cyberhome CH-500.
I noticed that the Malata has a little bit of shimmering when set on all filters except for still. The problem is that occassionally the picture will blur when on Still filter... Did the new 520 fix this issue?
The Cyberhome does not have the shimmering problem, nor does it blur during certain parts of the film like the malata. It has a perfect pal conversion. The picture is clear and sharp. Only problem is the color. The malata seems to have a brighter and more vibrant display of colors, much richer to watch. Similar to the comparison of Media Asia disc vs. HKL Fist of fury disc.... Big difference.
I'm thinking about purchasing a malata 520 if the conversion is as good as cyberhome 500, but not if they did not fix the shimmering issue or the occassional blur when using the still setting. Any one have any suggestion?

I know it altogether sucks to have your thread locked but there are already sufficient Malata and Cyberhome discussions in the forum and I am almost certain that there is a Malata v Cyberhome comparison in one of the Malata (and beyond) or Cyberhome threads.
Perhaps you could skim through those and repost in whichever seems the more appropriate if at that stage you feel that your specific point has not been covered/addressed.
