HKL Shipment Charges to US

Has anyone from the US bought any HKL DVD's from HKL's website?

www.hongkonglegends.co.uk

How much do they charge for shipping to the US per DVD?

Not sure if specific location in the US matters, but this is what they sent me when I asked for Boston, MA (area):

Postage is £2.50 for the first dvd and then 75p for each additional dvd.

Isn't Bensonworld still the cheapest place to get these?

Not really. HKL website is running a sale for 9.99 (pounds) on pretty much all discs.
since bensonsworld isn't having a sale now (just on the 2 discs editions for 12.99) and now they charge for shipping. (1pound per disc)

I ordered from the 9.99 sale a few months ago and they shipped it to florida for free. Ordered about 10 dvds then.

I just ordered some titles from cd-wow which added a few titles for 11.95 USD. I also made my first order at streets online. They had a handful of titles at 7.99 UKP with 1 UKP shipping for the whole order. Too bad the conversion rate is pretty bad right now (for us U.S. shoppers at least).

I can't even register. Gives me a 'page cannot be displayed" error. Using latest IE with Win XP Pro. Any ideas?

This is from the HKL site...

Do you deliver outside the UK and Eire?
Yes, but we do not process non-UK/ Eire orders online
What exactly do they mean by this?

as in they do not get you a instant authorizition(cc not processed online). They collect the information(cc and order details) and if you are outside the UK they will calculate approiate shipping and charge you that amount manually.

Thanks for the info.

One more thing: Is one normally suppose to get an automated email after placing an order from the HKL site? I didn't get one, and I'm not sure how long the wait will take to get the order processed...

no reply

I didn't get an e-mail reply for the order I made. The HKL website always seems to be having problems, so I assumed it didn't go through. Especially considering the quick response I got from them when I e-mailed regarding int. shipping. However, about a week or two after ordering there was a package in my mail box. A very happy day considering I wasn't expecting them at all.

Bensons World charges for Postage now? Do they give you the VAT back now like Blackstar and HMV do? Benson's wasn't that much cheaper but the free shipping made up for it. Not now.
