REPLACING R2 with R1

Hey all,

i was just wondering if anyone out there has ever replaced their R2 versions with R1 when they finally come out. How do you go about it? Do you just prefer to put it up on Ebay? Obviously it's not something that a large amount of North Americans would be interested in.

I was just curious how you guys got around this.

I've been wondering the same thing. I don't have much to replace, just the first 3 seasons of Friends. I'll probably eBay them and take what I can for them.

One option I should mention is to try the trading thread in this forum before eBay: you might get a European member who is interested in a deal.

If you can't trade them in the International DVDs for Trade thread, then I'd recommend http://www.thedvdforums.co.uk

They are in the UK, but make sure that you make it clear that you are from the US, because some of the members are not willing to trade with someone in the US. Its worth a try, I've done a lot of deals there.

i sell my R2's on ebay and always get a satisfactory price. further, the high bidders are usually people in region 1 with multi-region players.

I also do the opposite, but usually for anime. Japanese R2 companies tend to do a far superior job than R1.
