Region2 DVD?
I purchased a region2 dvd "Legend of a Fighter" from Hong Kong Legends. When I got the dvd in the mail the dvd case was not wrapped in plastic. The funny thing is that the dvd plays in my Fisher S1500 dvd player which is not region free player. Does anyone think that the dvd is a bootleg?

MAYBE. Especially since the authentic copy is PAL encoded (assuming you are in the States, Japan or Canada)
Anyhow you can open up your players region-lock:
Region code hack posted by César Rebaza Bontá at 2002-05-31 00:29:23:
Using your remote control press:
1. Program, Right, Right, Enter, Play
2. The player should now be in multiregion mode.
3. You can use Up and Down instead of that second
Right keypress to choose other tracks on the DVD.
4. The hack is not permanent and has to be entered
every time
(from vcd help)
