placing 1st order at bensonsworld.com and need some help...

I will have my new player in a few days now I want to start ordering some movies to play. I was looking at bensons and found a few titles I want. The question I have is this: when I start to fill out my address info they ask for the town and county. Now please don't treat me like a dumbass but is this the same thing as city and state? I just don't want to screw up my 1st order and any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Yup, I just fill out City and State in those spaces and have had no problems in the dozen or so orders I've made with Bensons.

I was thinking of ordering Intimacy, Futurama season 1 and Family Guy.

There was rumor on Planet Family Guy that FG will be released in R1 soon.

If that's true then I wouldn't bother getting the R2 version. Anyways, with the Malata it's flagged incorrectly so it "shimmers" under the movie filter and "streaks" with the still filter.

Yup, unfortunately Family Guy does look pretty crappy on the Malata.

I would recommend sending them a return e-mail when they send confirmation explaining that you have a region-free, PAL/NTSC player. They always send another e-mail to be sure that you know what you are buying and to confirm that you can actually play the discs. It just saves them some time.

huh... country means... country. Town would be City, no?

I've had no issues ordering from this place...
I even ask them to open the packages and put in bubblewrap to prevent scratches, and they do it... this also prevents them shipping me empty DVD cases...

Indeed....

....although the threadstarter used the word "county" which is the name of an administrative district in the UK and is what many UK-based e-tailers will be asking for in their address fields.

The advice given by codefree answers the question though so here's hoping that the ordering process is equally smooth for ChrisHicks.

thanks for all the help. I placed my order and recieved a confirmation email. Now how long before I get the PAL issue email? How long does it take for them to set up a new account. When I log into mine it tells me to order from my cart as account has not been setup.

I had already heard that they would send an e-mail making sure that you could play PAL discs, so as soon as I received my confirmation e-mail I replied to it and told them that I had a region free player that could play PAL discs. As I said, I just felt that it saved both of us a little time.

Oops.. it does read county, and not country.

Bensonsworld sends out confirmation emails when they ship your product, but you can send them your requests/queries after you get the confirmation of your order.

I usually forward the whole order confirmation back to them, along with my request. That way they know what order I am talking about....

J.T.
