Friend going to San Francisco Monday, good place for dvds?
A friend of mine is going to San Francisco Monday, and is wanting to pick up some international dvds. He has a region free player, so there is no limit on what he can get, he just wants to know were the best place to go is.
Anyone an expert of the area?

If your friend is into HK movies go to Chinatown. On Grant St going towards Broadway there are several stores but there is one with a red banner on the left hand side of the street which is basically a hole in the wall. It is two or three doors before a toy/candy store. The prices are dirt cheap and they don't charge tax. There are several more on the side streets but your going to have to search for them. Their all walking distance from each other. I can never remember the names of the stores because their mostly written in Chinese.
However, the DVD stores in Japantown are outrageously overpriced and one store still carries laserdiscs and multi-region DVD players.
Edit: Forgot to add---In San Jose there is a store called AZNFilms. They carry an assortment of HK films. It's about an hour south of San Francisco.
