Dragon Inn (Special Edition) is selling at Wal-Mart (B&M) for $12.48.

I was wondering if its any good in which case I'd go and buy it.

It all depends on what type of kung-fu flick you like. If youlike wuxia type of stuff you may like this one.

Personally I wasn't too fond of the movie. The story and characters were not that great (although alot of people consider this movie a classic). PLus the fighting was less then stellar. The fight scenes were basically people jumping and flying and flinging their arms like crazy. Its wire-fu to the max.
Not good wire-fu like woo-ping...but bad wire-fu.

But hey, everyone is different. I know several people who really enjoyed this flick.

Dude, dont get that version. That one's ok, I guess, but the HKL version is so much nicer on all fronts.

im a big brigitte lin and donnie yen fan but this movie still do not do much for me

but for that price i'd snatch it up anyways because even though the hkl version looks better you won't find it for anywhere near that price and I dont think it warrants any higher

I liked it alot... Dragon Inn is a solid flick. It has alot of underlying politics, but it's not as bad as East is Red. The Tai Seng version has a commentary by a HK film expert that is actually very informative. I'm sure the HKL version is better, but I have no reason to upgrade since the Tai Seng version is fine.

The HKL version is Mandarin-only, for those of you who care about original language issues....

I do. So I traded mine away. If I want Mandarin, I'll go to CH26.
