is "shall we dance" available?

i just saw this movie on cable and really liked it. anyone know if it is available? i did a dvdpricesearch and it came up empty.

No - not available at all (not even in Japan)

It's available (err, released ) on LD (Miramax) and vcd (Edko/Ocean Shores). The vcd is probably your better bet. I haven't gotten around to watching either one yet (I saw the original theatrical release) but assume both have subs.

I recall there are two versions of the film, one with more character and background development. I'm thinking that's why I bought the vcd version. Search alt.asian-movies, I think that's where the discussion was.

You might also be interested in Welcome Back Mr McDonald and Sumo Do, Sumo Don't. A subbed vcd is available for the first and a DVD for the latter.

Yes you are right, it is on VCD (I have it), but as this is a DVD forum and as the original poster had been using DVDPriceSearch to try and locate it, I assumed that they were interested purely in a DVD release
